RESURFACE \ CHEMICAL PEELS

Clear, bright and smooth.

At nüseoul, we bring the best of Korean aesthetics philosophy to London — offering high-quality, doctor-led treatments with a focus on skin health, harmony, and prevention.

Chemical peels are a time-tested way to refresh the skin’s surface — improving tone, texture, and radiance. When chosen and performed carefully, they can be a gentle yet effective way to keep your skin clear, bright and smooth.

Perfect for those looking to reduce oiliness , improve acne and breakouts, and even skin tone — without aggressive or high-risk resurfacing methods.

What are Chemical Peels?

Chemical peels are professional skin treatments that use carefully balanced acids to exfoliate the upper layers of skin. This controlled resurfacing removes dead skin cells, smooths roughness, and encourages fresh, healthy cells to come to the surface.

They can be customised in strength and depth — from very light peels that refresh the skin with no downtime, to deeper peels that target more stubborn concerns.

At nüseoul, we specialise in light peels that deliver visible results while respecting your skin’s barrier and natural renewal cycle.

Why chemical peels need a tailored approach for East Asian skin

East Asian skin has unique characteristics — including a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) and sensitivity to trauma. Aggressive treatments, such as strong peels or ablative lasers, can sometimes cause more harm than good.

That’s why we take a conservative, skin-first approach:

  • Choosing gentler acids and concentrations that resurface without triggering inflammation

  • Avoiding excessive peeling depth to reduce pigmentation risk

  • Building results gradually over a series of treatments rather than one aggressive session

This means you get the benefits of chemical resurfacing — brighter, smoother, more even skin — while keeping safety and balance at the forefront.

Who is this treatment for?

Chemical peels may be suitable if:

  • Your skin looks dull or tired

  • You have oily skin

  • You have mild pigmentation or uneven tone

  • You want to refine texture and smooth fine lines

  • You experience acne, congestion or enlarged pores

  • You prefer gradual, non-invasive treatments over aggressive procedures

As always, we’ll start with a consultation to assess your skin, your history, and your goals before recommending a personalised treatment plan.

What results can I expect?

After a course of Chemical Peels, clients will notice:

  • Brighter skin dull or uneven skin tone

  • Refined skin texture and smoother fine lines

  • Reduces the appearance of mild pigmentation and sun damage

  • Clear skin, reduction in acne flares and refined pores

This treatment requires an ongoing commitment from the client, in line with our philosophy of preventative maintenance delivers the best results over time.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on your skin concerns and goals. Typically, we recommend:

  • A course of 3-6 sessions minimum spaced 2-4 weeks apart for best results

  • Maintenance session every 2-3 months for ongoing support

For more advanced concerns, we may recommend a longer course or combine it with other regenerative treatments like Polynucleotides.

What brands and products do you use?

At nüseoul, we only use medical-grade products with proven safety and results. We use the Obagi Blue Peel Radiance — a light, professional-strength peel specifically formulated to be safe and effective for Fitzpatrick skin types III and above. Its precise blend of salicylic, glycolic, and lactic acids provides consistent, controlled exfoliation, making it suitable for a wide range of skin types, including East Asian skin that may be more prone to pigmentation.

The Obagi Blue Peel Radiance is composed of:

  • 20% Salicylic Acid

  • 1.76% Lactic Acid

  • 1.4% Glycolic Acid

Is there any downtime?

Downtime is minimal, but you may notice:

  • Mild redness for a few hours post-treatment

  • Light flaking or peeling over the next few days

  • Temporary increased sun sensitivity

Why choose nüseoul for Chemical Peels?

At nüseoul, chemical peels aren’t just a treatment — they’re part of a bigger philosophy. We specialise in East Asian skin, where the balance between effectiveness and gentleness matters even more.

East Asian skin is often more prone to pigmentation, scarring, and sensitivity — which means aggressive treatments like deep peels or ablative lasers can sometimes do more harm than good. A carefully chosen, professionally applied chemical peel offers a safer way to refresh and brighten the skin, smooth texture, and even tone — without triggering unwanted inflammation or pigmentation.

But the formulation, strength, and aftercare matter. And that’s where we’re different.

Our approach is guided by five core values that shape everything we do:

1. Little and often gives you the best long-term result
We don’t believe in stripping your skin with one aggressive peel. Instead, we recommend a consistent, well-paced plan that allows your skin to resurface gradually — keeping it healthy, resilient, and radiant over time.

2. Skin-first approach to every treatment
We always look at the bigger picture. A chemical peel at nüseoul is never just about exfoliation — it’s about improving skin health as a whole. That’s why we choose formulations that brighten, hydrate, and protect your skin barrier, rather than compromise it.

3. Facial harmony and proportion always
Your skin’s texture and tone play a huge role in how refreshed and luminous you look — but we never chase an over-processed, “too perfect” result. Our goal is to enhance clarity and smoothness while preserving your skin’s natural balance and individuality.

4. Prevention over cure
Early, gentle resurfacing treatments help address pigmentation, uneven tone, and textural changes before they become stubborn or deep-set. Prevention is at the heart of Korean aesthetics philosophy — and it’s how we protect your skin’s future.

5. High-quality, doctor-led care
Your peel will always be performed by experienced Doctors who understand East Asian skin physiology and pigmentation risk. We adjust formulation choice, application time, and aftercare to achieve the best possible results for your skin type — safely and effectively.
