Regenerative Skin Support.

What Are Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides (PDRNs) are fragments of highly purified DNA derived from salmon (or trout) that have been filtered, stabilised, and sterilised into a skin-safe injectable that tells your body to regenerate itself.

They are not fillers, which add volume, or Botox, which relaxes muscle movement, polynucleotides encourage your skin cells to produce more collagen, elastin, and hydration, on their own. Over time, they improve skin tone, elasticity, and resilience. The effect is gradual but powerful.

The PDRN formulas that we use

At nüseoul, we use polynucleotide injectables from leading manufacturers in Korea and Italy, each chosen for their safety profile, clinical backing, and proven results on East Asian skin. Each treatment is a regenerative tool designed to help your skin repair itself over time.

Rejuran HB (Korea)

A best-seller across Korean dermatology clinics, Rejuran was one of the first polynucleotide injectables on the market and is still considered the gold standard for regenerative skin treatments in Asia.

  • Made by: PharmaResearch (South Korea)

  • PDRN content: 2% (20mg/ml)

  • What it does: Combines polynucleotides with hyaluronic acid (hence “HB” for Hydro Boost) to hydrate while accelerating skin repair and collagen production

  • Best for: Full-face rejuvenation with a hydration boost

  • Treatment method: Individual needle technique

Pilnest Face (Italy)

A next-gen polynucleotide treatment developed by Mastelli, the Italian biotech company behind Plinest and one of the pioneers in PDRN research.

  • Made by: Mastelli Srl (Italy)

  • PDRN content: 2% (20mg/ml)

  • What it does: Stimulates fibroblasts, boosts collagen, and helps rebalance stressed or inflamed skin

  • Best for: Uneven tone and sensitive or acne-prone skin in need of a reset

  • Treatment method: Cannula technique

Pilnest Eyes (Italy)

Specifically formulated for the delicate under-eye area, where traditional fillers can look puffy or unnatural.

  • Made by: Mastelli Srl (Italy)

  • PDRN content: 0.75% (7.5mg/ml)

  • What it does: Targets thin, crepey skin and dark circles without adding bulk. Supports capillary health and collagen in a gentle, non-volumising way

  • Best for: Hollow, tired-looking under-eyes, fine lines, or pigmentation in the tear trough area

  • Treatment method: Cannula technique

Why Polynucleotides Are a Game-Changer for East Asian Skin

If you’re East Asian, your skin will age differently to our Caucasian counterparts. We retain firmness longer but then experience more abrupt volume loss and sagging in our late 30s and early 40s. We’re also more prone to pigmentation, sensitive reactions, and slow healing after inflammation.

Early signs of aging

Polynucleotides rebuild your skin's internal scaffolding, strengthening dermal layers and preventing the kind of sagging that happens when collagen starts to collapse from within.

Reactive or damaged skin

Whether it’s harsh London water, PM2.5 pollution, or overdoing the actives, East Asian skin is quick to flare up. Polynucleotides calm inflammation and help repair your skin barrier from the inside out.

Tired, hollow under-eyes

Filler isn’t always the right solution for our bone structure, Polynucleotides offer a lightweight, natural way to hydrate and restore volume without puffiness or distortion.

Hyperpigmentation

Polynucleotides support healthy cell turnover, reduce oxidative stress, and strengthen your skin’s ability to bounce back after breakouts, reduce the risk of stubborn marks and improve melasma.

What’s the Treatment Like?

We offer two methods for polynucleotide treatments: traditional needle injections and the cannula technique. Both are safe and effective, we choose the best one for you based on the treatment area and your skin’s needs.

We always apply numbing cream beforehand. You might see some mild swelling or tiny bumps for up to a week (especially under the eyes), with the potential for light bruising. Our standard injection amount is 2cc, however, we offer 4cc for those that are looking for accelerated results (excluding Pilnest Eyes).

It’s a buildable treatment. Results start to show after 2-4 weeks and continue improving over 6-8 weeks.

Protocol that we recommend for optimal results:

  • A course of 3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart

  • Maintenance session every 6-9 months after that

Is It Right for You?

Polynucleotides are especially suited if:

  • You’re in your late 20s to early 50s and noticing tiredness, dullness, or texture changes

  • You have sensitive or inflamed skin, or are prone to redness, post-acne marks, or rosacea

  • You want to treat the under-eye area in a safe way

  • You’re craving long-term skin health, not just a quick fix

The Takeaway

Polynucleotides are not a trend, they’re the key to regenerative skin health. Especially for East Asians living in big cities with dry offices and grey skies, this is the kind of support your skin needs.
